What's the best contact manager out there? I have nearly 1500 contacts and it's hard to keep them clean and organized without duplications and errors. I sync using MobileMe and Google. any suggestions?

Koingo Software's Data Guardian is tops. Contacts, software serial numbers, bank account numbers, credit card numbers, utility company accounts, web sites, etc. It dices, it slices, it juliennes.

I highly recommend **Gist.com**, and it has an Microsoft Outlook plug-in
Microsoft Outlook 2010 with Business Contact Manager & Social Connector shows promise.
Microsoft Dyanamics is a powerful CRM.
Your contacts are not all in one place — bring them all together by connecting more accounts
You can use Gist to research people and companies, and it works even better when you connect accounts to let us do that work automatically, in the places where you already do work. We work best when you connect an email (like Outlook, Gmail), a social networking account (Facebook and Twitter are best), and a business networking account like LinkedIn. You can also connect a calendar (Gmail, Outlook, Google Calendar), and we have mobile apps for iPhone and Android.

I believe you're lying to yourself when you believe you can remember 1500 contacts long term. I tried it in my gaming years and couldn't come close. I believe the best contact manager for someone is the someone his/herself (eg. you). If you don't remember who a contact is, there was nothing memorable about them. Delete the ones you don't remember. I have roughly 150 people on my contact list now, and I know exactly who each one is. In fact, I've had to restore my contact list in the past after someone bombarded me with add contact requests and the MSN admin cleared my contact list (this was circa 2003). I was able to remember all but a few of their email addresses.
