I haven't tried this one, so I cannot verify it but I have tried many other apps from this site and they have all worked. http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/google_chrome_portable I dont know if I want to use it. It may steal passwords. 1
Portable apps version isn't going to work in Linux. And why is a web browser going to steal your passwords? |

What you need is a portable web browser. Lucky for you Google Chrome is available in a portable version. Here is a link, that explains what it is, it also explains to you how to use it. (it also has a download link). http://www.labnol.org/software/download-portable-google-chrome-for-usb-drive/4406/ Enjoi. The download link isn't working for me sadly. And other one? Sorry bout that lol. here's another one. http://webtrickz.com/download-portable-google-chrome-6-0-final/ Does it work on Linux? I dont think it works on Linux, but you can test it out :S Your school uses Linux!?! Thats pretty cool. Yea, we learn on computers. K running portable programs is different for Linux than it is for Windows. http://jaxov.com/2009/09/download-portable-google-chrome-for-ubuntu-linux/ Heres another link that explains how to do it but you need to get some file extension or something, but it explains everything. (there are also working download links lol). (BTW ... In my school High School they forced me to use Windows even though I was a Mac user). I don't have text books at mine.

I don't think there's a portable Chrome for Linux, but you could install a portable distro like Puppy on a thumb drive, and have the Linux version installed on that. You would have to boot from the thumb drive to use it, however. |
