Yesterday the power went out for about two seconds, and ever since then, my cable modem has been acting weird. (I've had it for a few years, this isn't the first time the power has gone out while the cable modem being on)

It has a few lights on the front (Power, receive, send, online)

The power and the receive stay on, but the send blinks, and online just stays off. (But for some reason my router is still sending WiFi, even though there is no real connection)

I can temporally fix the problem by unplugging, and plugging it back in, and it reconnects, and when I restart my iMac, the connection is fine.

It has done it three times today, and is getting aggravating, is there anyway to fix it, or do I need a new one?

It's a Motorola SURFboard BTW....

Mine has done this also? What ISP do you use? Your ISP company may have a newer modem, you may have to call and check.

It was probably the power going out if the power going out was due to a lighting storm. You should call your cable company and ask for a new one.
