My router uses MAC filtering. I believe I'm looking for the wifi address on my galaxy S. Can anyone point me to this?

From the Home screen, press "Menu"

Then Settings

Then "About Phone"

Tap "Status"

The Wi-Fi MAC address will be located toward the bottom of the screen

Another question, how can I verify that the Wifi is running? I configured everything. Entered the password onto my phone etc... Turned the wifi on.

What I don't see are any different symbols at the top of the phone to make me think its connected to a wif
