Do you game with headphones or speakers? If you game with headsets do you prefer open or closed ear designs? |
Speakers, because I want to be able to hear whats going on around the house, and know if someones calling me. |
Definately headphones. Especially for the Battlefield series. Helps you locate and track an enemy target aswell as your team and squadmates. |
headphones are best because in some games you can hear other people approaching you. in my case i can hear people from a really far distance. |
Personally I prefer to game with my 5.1 surround sound speaker setup its really nice and i think it even enhances my game play because I can hear stuff sneaking up on me from a distance lol. |
Headphones, simply because of MW2 and footsteps. You can tell where the enemy is most of the time, and headphones sound sharper to me with quality. I use Turtle Beach X31's with a closed ear design to block out more noise of my surroundings and to hear more clearly. |
I use Surround sound speakers during the day, and then a headset at night, so as not to annoy people |
surround sound, that's the best, it's great, but the only game i play is monopoly, so it doesn't work to well |
I like using headphones, most games are optimized for headphones, also I have a 5.1 speaker system and some games just suck for it. The problem I have is some games have a wide range of loud and quiet sounds, if I put the volume at a level where I can hear everything, the moment an explosion happens or some other loud noises, the subwoofer goes crazy and it just bothers everyone in the house. With headphones, I don't have to worry about that. |
in game where you talk to you teammates headphones are better. if using speakers and a mic others can hear there own voice which and be annoying and distracting or other sounds in the room |
For me it depends on the game, if theres a lot of cussing in a game i will most likely use headphones. But if its a "clean" game then I game on speakers. |
