I mean, you always hear in the media (via tv, movies, etc.) about how it's sort of traditional for some families to send their child that just graduated high school "backpacking" across Europe... sort of as a spiritual journey to find yourself, or something? But how does that really work? Are you essentially homeless during that time or what? Or do you go off with thousands of dollars for hotels? How are you suppose to get there..or back? I'm not considering doing this, I was just curious as to what "backpacking across Europe" really entailed. |

lol First time I hear this, well I don't know about it but I found this article on Ehow: How to backpack..., for the little I could read, sounds like a hippie journey :) yeah, pretty much is from what i understand Its sounds pretty awesome if you ask me Yes it's awesome as long as I watch it from afar and I am not the one on the journey. why is that????????? 1
my lazyness prohibits me in doing so, of course watching someone doing it, I can live with that. |

I think I would take the five star hotel with all the comforts that come with that. :) |

You would stay in hostels mainly and travel on trains. :) You can buy a train ticket for about $600 euro a month and you can go anywhere in Europe nearly ;) I plan to go to 25 different country's over 6 months in 2 years :) |
