Fluids and hot showers alway seem to help. Also as r0bErT4u mentioned above Zinc is a big help as well.

  1. Rest
  2. Liquids
  3. Cold remedies to help you function
  4. Take it easy
  5. Easily digestible foods like Imei's ginger chicken soup
  6. Neti pot to clean out your nose
  7. Bad television (to put you to sleep quickly)
  8. Hot bath or shower (sauna works well to sweat it out)
  9. Ibuprofen for body aches
  10. A good friend to fetch you kleenex and say, "Poor baby" every so often (hey, it works for me).

Listen to HFH - all wise words.

Like she says; plenty of fluids, keep comftable, listen to your body as it will be speaking.

Enjoy watching movies and tv - and as hard as it is try to avoid the computer - I always find computers really draining when sick.

Zinc for Colds: Lozenges & Nasal Sprays One recent study looked at using zinc not only as a cold treatment, but also as a preventive when taken daily. In other studies, researchers found no differences in cold symptoms between those who took zinc and those who took a placebo or sugar pill.

1- Stay away from any over the counter drugs and cold medicines and avoid sugar.

2- Eat a lot of red grapefruit(not juice) for vitamin c.

3- Eat a lot of pumpkin seeds( selenium, magnesium and zinc)

4- Take extra selenium, magnesium, zinc and c vitamins.

5- Cook and eat soups made with green vegetables.

6- Take it easy.

4 days and your flu or cold will be gone and no side effects from medicines.

Honestly, drug up on aspirin/Tylenol. I would recommend this method to dealing with colds to anyone :P Also, suck on lotts of cough drops. Preferably good tasting ones, it actually helps, and it helps you mentally by THINKING that it's helping in some way! haha
