What do you mean Mac user's can't play? Oh that's not fun; it's not fun at all. Well, I got a 0. I guess that's better than a lot of people's score...

Since I originally posted this, I have bought a pre-built gaming computer (found an incredible deal on Craigslist...). I would've built it myself, but it was a whole lot cheaper just buying it. So, here's my score:

Catchatyou's Windows 7 Score

It's not quite phenomenal, but it plays Minecraft at 130+ FPS!

I'm sure your score would be awesome if you were on windows :)

I could always install Windows on my Mac. I've seen Windows 7 run on a 5 year old Mac (a week or so ago), and it ran smoother than a lot of the PCs that I've seen that were running Windows 7 (present day). I'm sorry to speak the truth, but I believe that Windows works better on Macs than on PCs.

(Sep 13 '10 at 23:18) catchatyou catchatyou's gravatar image

That could be so. I've never had a mac so I can't say. One of these days I will have the $2000 or so for a Macbook Pro.

itsnot like that, the base model pcs of today are still less powerful than a mac pro from a few years back and new windows pc's they tend to have very basic graphics unless thye cost from £800 pirce range

Yeah, but non retards would build their own computer...and it would cost a crap load cheaper. You can get for under 1 grand now a pc that can run dam near any game and application. While for a mac you would have to pay at least 2.5k but more realistically 4k

That's true. I built my computer for about 1.5k and it runs great.

I neither know how nor want to build my own computer. Guess that makes me a retard. Shucks.

I don't buy Mac because of the price. I buy Mac because I love the OS. Worth it to me.

Good scores, if you get the pci-e ssd you would most likely get a 7.9 on primary hard disk and have a 7.4 overall.

Ya, I think so also. Going to be getting a new one as soon as I have a major need for a more powerful one right now it does everything fine including running ubuntu and/or windows 2000 in virtualbox.
