You know you're a geek when...?

Ever have one of those moments when you say to yourself, "dang I'm such a nerd?" I just did because I sold four computers and started thinking about how I already miss them. (I'm at work) I miss a box of transistors and silicon... Hmmm.   Well the good thing is now I'm going to buy several Android tablets from Taiwan and hack around with them for a while then sell them to lulz.

So when have you realized you're a geek?

I have a feeling someone asked this a long time ago, I can't currently find it. So I will keep it opened right now till it is found.

I have the same feeling, but all I've found is one asking "You know you don't get out enough when..." which is marginally related. :)

...when your Christmas wish list from the earliest age you can remember still included several computer-related items (new hard disk drive, new software) or geek toys (microscope, telescope, chemistry set).

When starting troubleshooting a Burroughs B5500 bigger than most houses. Using TAB cars and machine language armed with a Tektronics oscilloscope, pocket protector, wearing white shirt, and tie. Then again walking though the a similar room at T-Mobile's data center with my son in 2005. Must be in the genes! My ALU still works but all my peripherals need replacing. Last check they weren't stocking parts for early 1940 models. LOL
