I just wish there was something that didn't look that it was going to break really easy just like the ones Apple uses in their stores

@Square sent me (2) Credit Card Readers. Neither has broke. I use them on my iPhone & iPad. A friend uses @Square with her HTC EVO 4G.

Would you recommend them?

Yes! @Square customer support is fast, professional, and friendly. Their credit card transaction fees are: Card-present (swiped): 2.75% + 15¢ or Card-not-present (keyed-in): 3.5% + 15¢. I'm not sure how that compares to Paypal & others, but @Square is mobile =0p...

hmm? I'll have to try it. Do you know how much the card readers are?

@Square Readers & App are free. I made this, so I wouldn't misplace them.

What are the Credit Card Transaction Fees?

Someone recently asked me why I don't use Square for my psychotherapy clients wishing to pay with a credit card. The reason I don't is that there are actually some fantastic online credit card billing programs, such as Therapy Partner, that include other features and services that Square does not, and with slightly lower fees. If Square could do the same, I might consider it. But for health care professionals, Therapy Partner is hard to beat, provides some free consulting on business building, and you don't have to have an iPhone (although, I do have one now). Sorry, Square.

Thank you for you input. I wish that there were Therapy Partner like equivalents for other entrepreneurs.

Somehow, I am not buying this.. The reason why I am saying this is that if the product is out, then it would be easier for hackers or those scammers to get your credit card information and keep it in their iPhone or android and corrupt their credit record. Have you thought of that before???

Square Now Processing Millions Of Dollars In Mobile Transactions Every Week > http://tcrn.ch/abvmQU

"... After ten months of a private pilot limited to only 50,000 users, Square has finally opened its doors to the public. The brainchild of Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey, Square was unveiled last December as a small credit card reader that could turn any iPhone into a mobile cash register. The startup has since unveiled apps for the iPad, Android and iPhone. And Dorsey brought on PayPal and Slide veteran Keith Rabois as General Manager in August. As Square exits its pilot, the startup is hitting an impressive milestone: Square is now processing millions of dollars in mobile transactions every week ... more"

Paypal Alternatives For Online Payments by Kelly Clay on 12/06/2010

Square | For small businesses looking at an alternative to PayPal for ways to process payments, Square may be a great option. Some small brands find they only need to process credit cards only a few times a year, usually in person, which doesn’t justify the cost of a merchant account in PayPal. The Square app for iPhone and the iPad allows you to connect a card swipe device to your iPhone and iPad and instantly process process transactions, or enter them manually. The Square app is free, but there are credit card processing fees for each transaction.

Good Story!
