Why do people say "I'm only human" when they make a bad decision?

Here's what bothers me. I dislike when people say "I made a mistake, I'm only human"

Our brain is more powerful than any computer ever built and is capable of doing things we have yet to even to understand. The brain takes in information through our five senses and then you (I) then have all the necessary information to make a decision. Just because you made the wrong decision does not mean you can blame it on some other factor. People need to take responsibility for their actions. You are where you are in your life as a result of the decisions you've made in your life, not because of "fate" or "an act of god" it's because you CHOSE to be where you are. Don't blame anything or anyone else but yourself. Take responsibility for your actions!

Promise me you've never,ever,never made a mistake. You're young. Have some patience, you'll rack up some whoppers if you live long enough. Our brains,by the way, aren't computers and they sure as hell aren't perfect. My wife had a brain injury as the result of a very nasty car crash. I had to teach her colors, how to count and that I was NOT her ex-husband. However, 99% of the people who know or meet her notice only the most suttle differences. She returned to work,in an accounting office, but here is what I and her doctors found intresting. She can no longer write in cursive- everything is in this beautiful print script. That's 3 pounds of what we call the brain at work, not a computer,

As for mistakes, remember this; "To err is human,to forgive, devine "

How our brains actually work is up for debate. We can call something a fact today and prove it to be wrong tomorrow. I'm young and I've made plenty of mistakes and will probably make more but the point I'm trying to get across is to just take responsibility for your mistakes and learn from them rather than pointing your finger.

Your brain does not make the decision, you do. You have a brain, you are not a brain.
