Why did myspace die?

MySpace is adding a lot of useless tools and features that no one will ever really use, while Facebook is actually focusing on improving their service, privacy settings, and overall social network experience.

Facebook is now either Spam or "Subscribe t0 me and get 2OOO friend requests" or "1 like = 1 prayer" and a bunch of bull. Google+ and Twitter are pretty good for now until the idiots at Facebookville come and ruin it

Speaking of Social Networks, Tumblr should be in that idiot place. No one is a sane person on there, and it seems only teens have it. I know adults have it too, but teats one in a dozen. Facebook is okay, it's not the best, but it's better than Tumblr, IMO.

sexual predators. its not a safe environment for young people and mature people who don't want there eyes to melt when they see random peoples profile pictures. In the other hand facebook is moderated by facebook staff.

I'm a myspace layout site owner... and i've noticed it too. I have over 13k friend on my myspace account, where I used to be spammed on my feed every second.. now when i get on.. the last person to update was 45 minutes-1 hour before I checked it. I believe it's because it just got boring for most users. And the only GREAT things myspace had was music, commenting, and layouts. As opposed to facebook, where you can easily have a conversation with someone either on a wall post or the chatter. Granted, facebook doesn't have layouts or music, it is more professional and easier to socialize on.

sorry facebook as we know it today has only been around since 2006 some sembolance of it was started in 2003 called facemash, Facebook with all the application spam is even newer then that and that side of it is on its down hill slope now while in way MySpace is on it way back up along with G+ and Microsoft live ...

Facebook has a simpler layout, no annoying noises or ads, it's innovative.

MySpace was a good network for its times, but better things have come. At the moment I can't see any social networks that are going to overtake facebook.

Well I can see 1 social network that might overtake Facebook! A lot of my friends are on Twitter now and say that Facebook is getting boring!
