As part of a Discovery Canada TV show (Junk Raiders, Season 2 http://www.propertelevision.com/productions.php?showid=8 or http://www.discoverychannel.ca/Showpage.aspx?sid=19241 or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Junk_Raiders - The new cast is different from those pictures.) I trying to build a Solar and Wind powered light system. I have 4-6A of solar PV panel, and some unknown qty of wind - (the wind turbine is untested, and may not be deployed.) I need to build a charge controller out of the parts that I'm likely to find in computer PSs and perhaps an older TV. (And a new Aqus with a broken screen) I do have a nice dump load, but I'd rather not use it for the solar.

Any good ideas? A schematic and a if possible board lay out would be great.

And yes, I do have a much Karma ID than this, but I had to make a new one for the show to ask the question.
