Hello guys I have a question to the comunity, I have a Notebook Tablet from HP- Pavilion tx2000, AMD Turion X2 Ultra -Core Mobile ZM-80, 3GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics with Windows 7 Ultimate i have had it two years from now, its really slow when using photoshop, AutoCAD and mostly on games like Left 4 Dead and Portal, the games do not matter much but I am an student of Civil Engeneer so AutoCAD is vital to me, do you think i should get the new model of my current tablet or change into another PC maybe a Mac, the fans have never been clean before but i can't open it since the way the monitor is placed does not allow me to open it, so i can't do that, or should i format it, i have a lot of stuff i don't use. Thanks for the help and really sorry for bad spelling, english is not my first language :p go easy on me!

should you get a new computer? do you want a new computer? if the answer to that is yes. then yeah you should get a new computer. do you need one? Well if you have to ask then the one you currently have you must have doubts about it. so i say if you have to question it then that means your computer isn't up to snuff with modern technology. if you want to stay on top of things and not have to worry then get a new one. my computer is a power horse it is 5 times more powerful than anything you will find at best buy. but guess what. in 5 years it will be below average. so you need to invest in something you can depend on to get the job done for a long time to come. think about that for a min and maybe you will answer your own question.

0.0 Dude, that computer is a beast, don't get a new one. It's a beast of a computer, and it's amazing, beautiful, and great for almost anything you'd want to do, or could do, cause 7 only needs like 1GB to run good, and you've got 3. Plus everything else listed there is just magnificent. That's a geeks paradise, weather he's a Macie, or a PC. And maybe you should reformat it if you really want to get that new-computer-feel, but put everything you NEED on an SD card or something before you do.

You should buy either a Mac or an iPad 3G. With the iPad you can remotely control your current computer anywhere in the world. With a Mac, you have the ability to legally install Mac OS X, as well as other OS's such as Windows and Linux. So you get the best of both worlds, or three worlds... People say that Macs aren't good for gaming, which it seems that you are a gamer, but thats not Apple's fault, that would be Adobe's fault for making a crappy flash plugin for the Mac operating system, and a better one for Windows. Thats one of the main reasons there is no flash on the iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. If you install Windows on your Mac, which you can legally do, then you can still get the fun out of gaming. Honestly, I would take the iPad, considering the fact that you have more game options, in your case. If I was a gamer, thats what I would choose.

I personally recommend getting a nice PC with a great video card especially if your needing speed and performance in a Auto-CAD program for I use it quite a bit because I am now in HS and am on it quite a bit. If you truly need a computer for the things you listed above don't get a MAC they are not really specialized for the things you have stated and I don't believe that Auto-CAD will run at all on a MAC but I believe you have a large enough amount of ram for this but possibly upgrade your CPU and video card and you will probably be able to squeeze some more life out of your computer heres a link to a affordable graphics card I have and it works excellent its super fast and works well with some of the most demanding games out there and also works great with Auto-CAD programs.

To answer your question, no. Your computer is a beast! Its powerful, all you may want to do is format it, or just do some minor upgrades to it.

If you do want to get a new computer consider a iMac 27 inch ore i7. I bought one and am more than satisfied with the performance! I can play crysis on high settings and the quad core processor practically handles all my applications including photoshop with ease.

If you have the money go for it. From what you do with your computer it sounds like you need a new one.

Well, only if you really need to, if it's just a particular part, like the RAM, or the storage or the speed of the CPU, then just upgrade that part specifically, it will be a lot cheaper.

If your is working fine for you, keep it. I know people still using Windows ME with no plans to upgrade. Why? Because it works just fine for them. If a computer is working for you, save the e-waste and just keep it.
