whats a reasonable partitioning amount of space to have when installing windows 7 on a Macbook?

Well first find out what Win7 takes much space then find out how much space you will need for your programs then just add that up or you could maby just split the hard drive into 2 parts so its equal but imo 35gb is like minimum.

I'd say that 10-20% of your hard drive is reasonable. If you don't like what you partitioned, you can always change it through Disk Utility.
