Hey, 1st question: Why does laptops get hot? Because of display running? Apps running? If I had monitor plugged and it closed would it get hot slower? 2nd question: Does using your macbook closed and plugged in to a monitor use more resources like ram n stuff? Doesnt it get laggy or stuff? Do i need to upgrade from 2gb to 4gb? 3rd question: Does hard drive with more rpm make laptop hotter? Faster? Worth it? From 5400 to 7600 rpm. I have 13 mbp FYI

it is because they are small and the parts operate in a confined space with out huge heatsinks and fans like we have in desktops, this keeps them thin and lite
