I have both good speakers and a good headset.. What do you think about it? My headset is very nice.. and it cost the same as the 2.1 speakers I have

Well you don’t plug headphones to your home theatre and you don’t use speakers when you are listening to your iPod while sporting. It depens on what for are you buying those.

I like to spend a lot of money on both things. My headphones cost me about $300 and my speakers (JBL) and subwoofer (Yamaha) cost me about $800 in total. Obviously a good speaker setup is going to cost more than a pair of headphones.

I'd rather spend money on a good set of speakers and an amplifier.

I don't feel that a new set of speakers or headphones is a waste of money. For me, it's important that my headphones are comfortable.

I spend £135 on a Good Set of headphones. They are more portable than speakers, and they have noise cancellation etc..

headphones are almost always what you want but if you want lots of people to hear stuff at say a pary it wouldn't be best. it's a personal choice.
