My budget's about $13XX. I already have a laptop, a netbook and an iPad. However, I want a "main" entertainment desktop which is capable of doing some decent gaming (BORDERLANDS FTW), WIFI and the once-in-a-while video editing. I'm not really against Mac OS, but I doubt my budget can accommodate a Mac.

Many of the tech sites are focusing so much on laptops they aren't helping me a lot; so help me out here, will ya? :D

PS: Oh, and I TOTALLY can't build my own desktop. Like, seriously.

Why would you not be able to build your own?

I would recommend an iMac to anyone (even the baseline model is way better than most other computers out there), but for your situation, I can't recommend recommend too much. I recommend building your own computer, but since you said that you can't, you can watch tutorials. If you decide that you can't, talk to someone at Best Buy, because usually they can point you in the right direction.

Maybe I will get an iMac after all. Hahaha, just keeping my options open! :)

This video is probably the best instructional video I have seen. It goes pretty in-depth in the PC building process and gives you plenty of warnings as you reach different stages of completion. That $1300 budget should allow for you to build something that will hold up to what a manufacturer would consider about $3000 worth. It will also outpower just about any Mac that you throw at it.
