I have a moderate amount of tech experience but this one stumps me.At first it just froze while on my desktop and i couldn't even cntrl alt delete to unfreeze it, then after a hard reboot it would freeze at start up, next after another hard reboot it started bluescreening right after the screen that lets you choose the boot opion (safe mode last good config ect)and even when trying to start safe mode, when it does it says something like run check disk which i cant do if I cant boot, i have had similar problems in the past with freezing but never blue screening the only solution then was a complete reinstall of windows, i have an adaptor for the hard drive to usb but when i try and get into the hard drive from a working computer it says that the drive is corrupt or unreadable, what i am thinking of doing is trying to load ultimate boot cd onto a flash drive but if you have any other tips they would be greatly appreciated. Thank You in advance :) |

Could be a bad hard drive but you could try running memtest86 or a repair install of XP. Try something like seatools from seagate to check out the hard drive. Just make sure to do the generic tests if it isn't a Seagate or Maxtor hard drive. |
