Tuesday, June 7: Updated rules and membership roles are posted on their own page.

Back in June, I won 1-Year of FREE rent @Urban_WorkLofts | I know what I'd like to see, but I'm having difficulty doing this on my own. I'd like to have a setup like Chris has, except Living Room style setting. When visitors click over to my website, they would see a sectional sofa, coffee table ... like a living room. I'd like to show a home style feel to technology.

The fire retardant all over the steel beams gives it that nice cozy at home feeling! XD

All I know is that so far, that final picture needs an L shaped desk in that corner! Along with some nice big flat panel monitors, a whiteboard? Maybe in that left side of pictures 2 and 4. Pictures 2 and 4. That corner is difficult since its so small... Then you will need a center piece, maybe something like a, I literally have no idea. Make sure to Pirillo that L shape desk I suggested. Coffee table, a flower? This room seems somewhat grim to me. I don't believe your allowed to paint it correct? You should show some more pictures of the other side of this room

Where's the ceiling? Having pipes running all over the place doesn't give it a very "home style" feel, dude. I don't even see network or phone drops.

I can see some power outlets or possible, what do you call them? Network connecter things?

It needs some life. I just saw this site and thought about your little space -- http://plantsonwalls.com/. Now, if only this could be rigged up on or below the ceiling! Not sure how up to code that is, but it definitely livens up a drab space. alt text

Instead of a conventional whiteboard, if it's in budget you could try an interactive whiteboard, or a big wall mounted touchscreen.

L shaped corner desks and nifty minimalistic things like this http://plantsonwalls.com/minipocket.html

I'm re-thinking this ... Circuit Board Wallpaper!!! I don't have to hide the wires!! The big flat panel monitors will look like CHIPS!

Is it big enough?

I think so?! I priced out several LCD & LED monitors, furniture, webcams, and shopping for some developers. I'd love to show you the place & get you expert advice =0p...

What is your consultant's fee?

  1. Which wall is the Internet jack on?
  2. What type of work will you be doing?

If you're going to be using wireless, the ceiling is perfect to get the router out of the way. Your windows are going to be a serious obstacle for glare.
