May the 3d Force be with you

Lucas film are turning our favorite Jedi films into 3d. Starting with "Return Of The Jedi" and "The Phantom Menace" as the first of the Star Wars Series being released in February 2012.

As much as a lot of us loved the Star Wars series, do we love them enough to watch (and purchase again) them in the ever popular 3d format?

I love Star Wars (the original 3). Lucas allready screwed up Star Wars by making 3 new movies, now he's going to screw it up again by turning them into 3D.

What extra value will it give these movies : none. Lots of people love the original 3 because they are authentic. You can "feel" the models and that's part of the charm.

I have yet to see a movie where 3D gives any extra value to a movie.

Let it go Lucas, stop living in the past.
