Okay, so in short, my friend found this thing called "Clever Bot" which is a really cool AI thing that you can talk to, and it responds and has emotions, which is very scary, yes, and I'm playing around with it and talking to it for like two hours, but then my friend asked me to see if it would cyber-sex with me after he made a sex joke and it replied with something like, "slaps you You pervert!" or something like that. I'm too frantic at the moment to answer. But anyways, so for like an hour, I'm trying different ways to get it to respond with Cyber-Sex, and suddenly, I get this pop-up saying, "Son, we have traced this conversation, and you will be arrested if you don't close this immediately." or something like that, and I happily obliged. Can I REALLY get arrested for soliciting sex to an Artificial Intelligence? I'm really scared right now. :/

This is really really odd. I don't think you can. You were just joking around with a AI chat. But I don't think you can. And it said son? Maybe it was your parents. Oh and what web browser are you using? I have a feeling it may be Google chrome. Oh and remember I am only a kid, and I don't know for sure.

No, no one in the house is on a computer at the moment but me, and it asked me if I was a he or she at the beginning, because the AI is supposed to be like a friend... But then again, it could be my friend since he sent it to me, and he wanted me to check it out since he "had to go" I'll ask him about it. If he did, I'm going to kick his ass. I can't even chew straight right now! :/

Clever bot was most likely not made by your friend. And he probably had no control about what happened. It wasn't him.

I don't think that you can get in trouble unless the site lied and you were actually talking to a real person, in which case it would still be there fault.

A pop-up, like a new window? If so, It's probably safe to assume it was fake.

if you where talking to a bot, no crimes have been committed... think about it if hitting a computer because it wont work could count as assault, a lot of frustrated people would be in jail.

plus if it was breaking a law, the FBI would investigate it because the "crime" took place over the internet and most likely across state lines. why would the FBI announce they where coming? plus if it did not want to talk to you... the bot could have blocked you...

It sounds completely fake to me.

Just because you were soliciting sex...so to speak it depends on what you said. Joking around, it not actually soliciting. Second, did anyone discuss ages? Third, unless money was involved or the person you were suppose to be talking to was a minor there is no harm done. Two consenting adults can talk about sex as much as they want, and can even solicit others for sex at anytime. The crime only occurs when the person is underage or if you are paying for the service.

Yeah.... I'm underage... As in 14.... And ages were discussed.... And it wasn't joking around, it was straight forward. I, after a while, decided to try and just get the computer to do it instead of trying all the alternative approaches and said, "starts masturbating" which is when I got the message.
