You have to be lucky though. The A/V calls don't work 90% of the time. That's my experience.

my friend tried all of those, none of them worked for her, and 8 beta froze once it connected

There really ins't any easy way other than running Windows 7 in VMWare Fusion, but that's not really a cheap alternative. :/
