Where do you go when you need to get away?

So, when you are stressed out or in need of a break, where do you go? Maybe you go on vacation to another city. Maybe you have a favorite place in town you can hang out. Maybe you play a game, watch a movie, or listen to music? Is there a website you can become relaxed by visiting it?

For me, I like to drive. I don't do it so often now that gas prices are higher, but a few years ago, I would get in my car and just drive -- no destination in mind. Simply crank my music and drive.

I used to go for a walk with my dog up the hill and sit on a bench that was at the top, while my dog was off her leash running around, and just sit there looking down on the valley and think. Sometimes my best friend came with me.

I haven't been able to go there in the last 4 years though because I moved and haven't found a new spot yet.

Or just going on a ride on my motorcycle. Wish I had one again.

Edit: These are pictures that I once took going to the spot. The bench was a little further up so the veiw was even better up there.

That sounds like fun. Hope you eventually find a new spot to hang. And as far as a motorcycle...I've always wanted one. I think that would be the ultimate. If I was riding one during my random drive I'd feel even more relaxed on those hidden back roads!

Driving always works for me. Like you said, crank the music and drive. I used to text my friends and be "wanna go waste some gas?" and it was always a lot more fun, especially at the lone hours of the roads (like 1am to 4am).

No doubt. That is the best time to to just get away. Sometimes I would take a Sunday afternoon and just go somewhere and get lost. The relaxing part for me was finding my way home. I know that seems stressful but it was pretty fun!

Oh yea, getting lost is more exciting than it is annoying. I've gotten lost in my own town that I've lived in for 18 years... that's exploring for ya. Sometimes it's just really fun to take your car over a hilly road and have an amusement-park day.

You and I are on the same page! I've lived in this city for nearly 24 years but there are roads I still have never even heard of. I love finding my way back. As long as I don't have any time restraints, and it's a nice day, I will drive for hours. The best part is when it's warm and you can roll down the windows as you drive over the hills. Man, that's a good time!

Pier Fishing, Shrimping & Surfing the Internet | Sometimes, I just grab my gear and scoot to the pier. I'm not a great fisherman, not even close. I do catch a bunch of bullhead >=0 If I catch somethings good to eat, then seafood for dinner =0p... Otherwise, it's just relaxing to me. --- I wish there was a Fish Finder App?!

Theres this place in the middle of nowhere where I live. I like to go there at night only though.
