it is good and bad, it is a good source of information, but can be edited and therefore is not always reliable

It's one of the best websites you can go on for well explained facts! But I do find it hard to understand at times.

Wikipedia is one of the most reliable sources of informations that you can get for most topics, because even though some people can edit it, the more important information is secured so that no one can mess with it who isn't supposed to.

In addition to that, popular pages have a lot of people who follow the edits on those pages, so inaccurate edits are quickly and efficiently reversed.

Wikipedia is a very reliable web source for obtaining information on anything you need. Everyone can always argue with the fact that it's self edited by mainly it's users, but, if that information is wrong, it will get deleted. Only correct information is located on Wikipedia. Also, if you post something way wrong or any explicit content, they will block your IP address from posting on Wikipedia. Just giving all you people a heads up if you're going to edit any information.

It’s done in a professional manner & has been reliable every time I’ve used it since it’s existence.

Just be aware that it can be edited by it’s users but it keeps a record of the edits. From my understanding, This editing is part of the wikipedia philosophy.

From what I’ve seen, The edits haven’t hurt the overall integrity of the info the site provides.

Wikipedia is a very good source of information. Although most schools don't accept it as a cite source due to the fact that its editable and can be edited to be inaccurate.

Wikipedia is a great source for information. even if you have some strange bias against wikipedia for some reason, you can always go to the cited sources and read what they say about the subject. With wikipedia being editable by anyone and require cited sources for major information, I don't see why people don't use it more often.

It is a good STARTING point. Information found there can be useful, but NEVER TRUST IT, without verification from alternative sources!

gOOd source of information! i used wikipedia to search for information regarding a particular movie or film by reading the synopsis and other information. I also search for a band's history, discography etc..

I have also used it to research information on a technical topic or subject such as about AMD processors or Cable/DSL technologies..

It's very good and useful though it's not very reliable as anyone can edit it.
