I use VLC player. It's always done well for me. Windows Media player is good but it's never as good as VLC So what do you use? |
I use VLC for Video... Rhythmbox for Audio.. (I run Linux) |
Depends on what I'm doing. I watch a lot of stuff on Netflix, Hulu & Amazon Video on Demand. I launch the videos in whatever they want to run. Quicktime, iTunes, Windows Media Player if I'm on Windows, etc. I guess I'm an equal opportunity media player user. The only one I refuse to use is Real Player. I don't use Real Player at all, but I'm curious is it that bad XD? I don't use it on principle. They've always been AWFUL about installing excess crap (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RealPlayer#Criticism), as well as defaulting it all to be installed unless you painstakingly uncheck every box during your initial install. They just don't give a fig about their customers, in my opinion. Too much aggravation = not software I'm willing to run. I despise RealPlayer and always have but...whatever happened to WinAmp? I used to love it but it seems to have gotten a bloated sac. I love the unpretentious VLC. |

QuickTime and if QuickTime can't play it than I use VLC |
Windows Media player and Itunes for music. For videos and MKV anime with multiple audio and sub tracks I use SMplayer, it doesn' t lag at all no matter the quality :)

VLC is the best you can get in my opinion. With music I use Itunes. |
I've been a Winamp user for ages. It's the best one that I've found. |
I mainly use Win Media Player for much of everything, except for movies that Wmp won't play naturally. In that case, I'll use VLC. I have iTunes, but it runs slow on windows, so I only use that for loading my iPod. |
Depending of what video format I'm viewing, I use either QuickTime X or VLC. |
+1 for VLC. Works very well for both video & audio, I find...in Windows & Linux. |
