Okay I want to know if the songs that you are currently listening(if you are) or I guess I should put you have listened lately represent your current state of mind, emotions, your current feelings etc. It happens to me at least :) ex: my current music lyrics are from: Just in case I'm not emo...just saying. |

Yep. I tend to put on happy music if I'm feeling in a good mood, and sad emotional stuff if I feel melancholy. |

My music at any given moment definitely reflects the mood I'm in. I spend a LOT of hours each day at the computer, working. When I'm at the computer, there's always music on. For the most part, I listen to my Pandora station, as I have gotten it to a place I am VERY happy with. If I'm in a bad mood, I will turn on something specific... loud, hard rock. I let the music pump through my veins and perk me up. If I'm sad (as i was recently due to the 1st anniversary of a good friend's death), I will pick a song I know has a lot of meaning for me and play it. If I'm happy/perky/bouncy, I turn on stuff I can dance to. If I'm just in one of THOSE moods... I turn to classical or jazz. I am a music junkie. I will listen to anything as long as they don't scream at me instead of singing. :) |

Sometimes I listen to certain types of music in an attempt to change my mood, and it works sometimes. |

Sure, or sometimes the inverse - I put on music that reflects how I want to feel. Not in a shallow and direct way; I don't put on "happy music" when I'm feeling down. Rather I find that I like music that encourages me to reflect in that case. When I need to get some work done I usually put on something loud and fast-paced, but when I need to think through a lot of upcoming work I sometimes put on something peaceful (peaceful to my tastes being things like prog rock, but I digress). |
