I installed twice , and all the result is as same as before the installation. what i want is clean mac os. I watch video on youtube, press C when boot up, and select disc and then press customize , and there is the option for erase all the data , but in my case, when i enter the customize , there is no option ask me to erase date, but only have option ask me what do i want to install. that's it. seems there is no way to install a manufactory clean mac os on mac mini. any advise is appreciated.

@Victor, You can't erase the data on the hard drive that you're running the OS on.

@lustring, Are you using the original CDs that came with your computer? The grey ones?

I just meant if it was the reinstall CDs that came with the computer, or if he was using a retail copy.

Use the recovery disks that came with your computer. This is like performing a system recovery of sorts for Mac OS, cept it's better because you don't need a recovery point to carry it out.

Does Disk Utility show a hard drive? If it does, it should allow you to erase the data.
