I have a Youtube account and I hit 1600 subs so I joined the AdSense program from Google. I wanted to know aprox. how much money do people make a month with this. My username on youtube is giorgio1apple

I'm sorry to say this, but it takes a LOT of views/thumb ups/subscribers to get money. With 1600 subscribers, you're probably only getting 600-800 views per video, and not many ratings. So you're probably not even going to get $10...

BUT, that doesn't mean being a partner is useless, if you put out content with amazing quality, and get extremely lucky, you'll be able to make enough from YouTube to make a living off of.

I have revenue sharing enabled on one video that gets about 5,000 views per day, and I make about $2 per day with it. If you have many revenue sharing videos, you'll probably get a lot more than me.

Congrats! I make an average of about $100 to $150 per month with YouTube Partnership and other ads through Adsense. I have about 3,600 subscribers and I get about 1,200 to 3,000 views a day. My website gets the same amount of traffic if not a bit more.

Keep in mind that with revenue sharing, during the review process, your video goes private during the review process.

There are some details that are also not well explained, for example, does revenue sharing cause additional ads to be added to your videos? If there is an ad that cant be blocked, or a excessively long intro (longer than 3-5 seconds) many users will skip your videos.

If you submit a video for approval, then you are also subject to stricter rules, meaning if there is any copyrighted material in the video or anything else that "does not meet the community guidelines" and they pull your video, then they will add a 6 month+ infraction to your account and your account will never go back into good standing on youtube.

If you get many views and have a loyal fanbase that can put up with extra ads, then consider it if you really need the money (and let them know that you are planning on doing it)

If you don't 100% need it then avoid doing it at all costs, if someone is planning to watch a video for just bit of entertainment of non essential info, eg a video of a cat doing or saying something cute, then they may not be interested in sitting through an ad to watch the intended video, even worst, those videos will get a negative vote.

(if youtube makes any changes to their policies, then older videos are not grandfathered in, they must meet the new guidelines or get removed and have infractions thrown automatically)

eg a friend of mine uploaded a video where he took a router apart, then added added small heatsinks to the CPU, switch, and memory, and then proceeded to overclock the router which was running tomato firmware.

The video was up for a while on the revenue sharing then got pulled after another review and then he got infractions on his account because of it.

I personally wont use revenue sharing unless I get view counts in the range of what chris pirillo gets
