Is there anything better then Norton and Mcafee?

I use Microsoft Security essentials. It's worked out fantastic for me. I used to use Norton but this one is so much more secure ;)

I personally would just use a MAC, you don't have to bother much with virus protectors, AVG free seems like a very popular choice.

AVG Antivirus Free is good, or Microsoft security essentials beta if you want an easy system. If you like open source, try ClamWin. Or consider Linux or a Mac. Nowadays there is no point in paying!

If you want free antivirus software, you could use AVG but if you want one with alot of features you could use BitDefender. If you want to search one file for viruses you could use a website called VirusTotal that uses most of the antivirus software to scan your file that you upload.

Common sense. Don't pirate and don't go to fishy porn sites.

No doubt in my Mind that Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 is the best paid anti-virus.

As for the best free anti-virus Avast 5 has my vote.
