I need to restore a dell inspiron 3515 to factory setting. Can anyone help me? |

All you have to do is run a system restore! Does the trick every time. |

No it can do the trick but system restore often restores your viruses and malware, sooner or later you need to blank the drive and reinstall. Of course you can blank the drive and install Linux, get 3 times the speed {at least} and forget about viruses altogether. |

Just reboot while holding down F8 and choose repair system and let it reformat the drive . I did it this afternoon with no worries. I had a problem getting the Nvidia driver running in Linux but it was worth the trouble . It runs ok in Vista , it flies in Lubuntu. Almost forgot , be sure to backup your personal files first! |
