Lessons should be learned from the .COM bubble burst. I would've invested the same way, but didn't/don't have expendable cash to play the stock market. I do play Virtual Stock Market games with imaginary money, and I do above average. Most games are played in a 1-Month time span, then reset. In real life, I wouldn't Day Trade. I'd buy stocks for the long haul.

Hint: Gold. That has been a solid performer.
