They are both good softwares, but i dunno which one is better. I heard that Ad-aware uses definition from Malwaresbytes and finds some adware that are false. What do you think? That would be great.

Adaware is less effective than back when it' s 2007 and 2008 ver. that where amazing! but as things are right now I have to say Superantispyware is a beast when it comes to spyware/malware protection, my recommendation between those two is Superantispyware, I have used both and by far I think that is the best.

Check this it backs up what I said.

I would say that neither are very good. If I were you, then I would use Avast! or Avira. Both of which are free and awesome.

Avast and Avira are just antivirus programs they are not for something else just deleting viruses not malware or spyware, Avast has more detection rate and a more vast virus list than avira, if you pay for avast you get more protection but you still need an antispyware to be protected.

Then you use Spybot Search and Destroy. I also recommend Windows Defender by Microsoft. It's a great piece of software.

I suggest you to go with Comodo internet security, its almost blocks every thing! I have been using it for 3 years!! You can find it below: Free Software Download

I don't know for Mac, and I don't know which system you have, but For Windows:

I did google for Benchmarks, and ever since Microsoft Security Essentials was introduced (including those times when it was still on beta) it has ALWAYS been the NUMBER ONE. and I mean it. you can google the results.

PLUS it's free!! AS LONG AS YOU HAVE A GENUINE WINDOWS OS (XP, Vista, 7)

other than MSE, I use Avira (but make sure you choose the Premium security Suite, I've seen people using the Antivir Premium and yet they are infected.

so Here are what's currently installed in my System (windows7x64ultimate SP1):

1). Microsoft Security Essentials
2). Avira Premium Security Suite [mail and web guard = off to save RAM]
3). USB Disk Security 6.0.0.126
4). Vidalia Bundle

this is equal to Double Line of Defense, as in 2 Guards, 2 Scanners, 1 Firewall, 1 Anti-autorun, 1 Flexible 3ple encrypted proxy.

and I've never seen a virus around.

People here even use my laptop to clean their USB. hahaha..

PS:
you can always Opt to not use avira if you need more memory., this kind of defense is still too strong even w/o avira. :)

sorry I don't know anything for MAC, so why not share it with me too?. thanks!

To keep this simple. Everyone is gonna say something else.. There isn't a single virus/spyware scanner that will find everything.. I, personally, like Superantispyware more, because, in my case, it found something that ad-ware didn't find.

Just try them both. If one doesn't satisfy, than move on to the other one. For both solutions you have to scan regularly, always keep that in mind.
