Alright....so I finished my build yesterday, I have not done any overclocking or anything...I wasn't planning on doing in the near future either.
I was running "Can You Run It" to see if I can play some games when I noticed something crazy.
It tells me "You Have: 2.81 GHz Performance Rated at: 6.3225 GHz"
So am I at 2.81GHz? Or Is it save to tell people that my Rig is running at 6.3225GHz?
When I look at my system properties, it shows 2.81Ghz. ?? I'm a little confused.
I did a bit of research and I found that my components automatically Overclocked my CPU....??
Main Questions : So am I at 2.81GHz? Or Is it save to tell people that my Rig is running at 6.3225GHz?

If you components did overclock your CPU it wouldn't be great enough to overclock it to 6+ GHz. Intel Core i7 930's cannot be overclocked to 6+ GHz without extreme full water cooling and even with that it would be over heating, but not dangerously. Try downloading CPU-Z, it will tell you the tempratures. And if it is HOT it may be 6+GHz, but I doubt it.

no saying it is running at 6 anything GHz is not correct. 2.81 would be correct. however clock speed is starting to mean nothing in today computers, i propose doing a bench mark and saying how many FLOPS (FLoating point Opperations Per Seccond) that really says how much work your computer can actually do...

If you have an "i" series processor then it would have turbo-boost but you wouldn't be able to reach a 6GHz. How many times did you run the test? What web browser are you using? Download CPU-Z or Speccy to see if it gives you a different reading.

Don't worry: Your rig is running @2.81Ghz.
What it means is that the chip manufacturer or that program misrated your processor as being able to run @6+Ghz. This is VERY unrealistic, but may be correct. However, I wouldn't bet on it.
