I need help with a Dell Inspiron that's not fully powering on.

I put the computer to sleep one nite and the next morning the computer would not wake up. So I tried to turn off the whole computer and turn it back on but it still kept the orange light instead of the blue one. I did not install anything new.

No it doesn't even show anything on the monitor.

Yes power is going through the system but nothing boots up allthe fans are spinning and the hard drive is operating.

Try connecting the laptop to a monitor and see if the laptop's monitor is the problem

Which OS are you running? This could be an ACPI issue with your OS. I know ACPI is broken for Dell Inspirons running FreeBSD.

Even though Chris says its fine to have nothing written in the question its still a good idea to write all the details. Model, 6 cell or 8 cell battery, got it? But did you damage the charger? Is something bent or tangled, cut. Maybe the problems the battery.
