I'm currently on my Ubuntu laptop, and I don't want to download 10.10 and put it on a flash drive, because I'd lose all of the data that I have on my computer. Below is a screenshot that wasn't taken too long ago, and if you click on it, you can bring it up bigger if you need it.

Are you experiencing the same problem?

I've already installed 10.10, but I was never given the option to upgrade. I did constantly check for updates (as the picture notes), but All I got were a few security and other application updates, not anything relating to 10.10. I hope that this only happened to me, and not any of the other tens of thousands of people that use Ubuntu.

Did you see this page?

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MaverickUpgrades

It gives a few more options, like upgrading from the CD or directly from the ISO rather than through the update manager.

I had the same problem. What I did was play around with the settings of update manager and keep checking. Eventually it will let you do it.

Thanks, I already installed a clean version of Ubuntu. I was to impatient to wait for them to give me the option. It works great, and I love 10.10 so far, even though I found some bugs that have lessened the greatness of the experience. It works great other than that!
