Taking into account our economic struggle if you could take over any company and take charge, what company would you take over and what would you do to change it?

Easy: Microsoft; they're doing a lot of things wrong and that's stifling their ability to corner certain markets. For example, they absolutely suck at the mobile experience. Always have. Further, there's a great deal of cool stuff that happens at Microsoft Research (specifically the VIBE Lab) which never see the light of day. I'd fix that too.

I agree 100%. Balmer needs to leave and let someone new come in and take control.

I'd rather be the President of academia, rather than a CEO. Education makes a greater impact.

I'd love to be the CEO of Apple, because Apple's not a company with that heavy business feel to it. From what I've seen, they get the job done, and they do it right most of the time. I couldn't stand being CEO of Microsoft, because there are too many problems that aren't erasable without a lot of work, and I think it would just be wasting my time. Because Apple is such a laid back kind of business that wants to get the job done, and not to screw around, I'd like to be their CEO.

I'd be the CEO of Microsoft so that I could slap anyone who even tried to put the desktop version of Windows 7 on low-power slate devices.

I would have to say Microsoft corp. I must be a mind blowing experience to work around such amazing people and technology everyday.

I completely agree with tsilb, but it would be cool to see what apple was working on if I was the CEO of that.

I would take over Google, Facebook or Microsoft. Both companies have very interesting futures, with them changing paths.

Look at Google, they're ploughing 'full steam' into automated vehicles. Facebook is rolling out various new features, including exports. Microsoft has also just released IE9 Beta, which looks to be a superb improvement on previous versions - the future is bright for all three companies.
