nvidia on AMD chips?

so my motherboard died on me and i really dont want to spend a alot for a board with nvidia chipsets because its really hard to find AM2 + boards. the question is can you use a nvidia card and nvidia for dedicated physx(NOT SLI) on a crossfire board with no problems?

dedicated nvidia am2+ amd ati motherboards physx
