[closed] Problem partitioning Mac's harddrive.

Everytime I try to partition my Mac's harddrive (iMac - 1TB HD), I get this message... alt text

So does this mean I'm going to have to completely format my HD in order to partition it? Is there ANY way to get by this?

Go into Disk Utility and select your hard drive and try and try and repair disk permissions and repair disk (You'll need to boot from your install disk and repair it from their). Then try and partition your hard drive again.
