Do you think that "Movies that come on flash drives" is a good idea? Wouldn't that be safer to damage compared to DVDs? Couldn't you have more movie on one storage device?

The way I see it, here's what will happen. Eventually there will be movies that are download only. We will have supersized flash drives and you will just go to a store to DL your movies if you don't have the connection at home.

I've thought about this, and I've come up with a conclusion. If they were to be sold on the same flash drives as we use every day, how would they be able to make it so that it's only readable, and not writable? Also, since the Internet is getting faster every so many months, why do we need physical means of storage anyway?

My conclusion is that physical means of storing data for home use is slowly becoming deprecated (phased out).

I meant if they still do sell in stores for some reason. And couldn't you format it to be not writable?

Yeah, because when you have watched it, you can format the flash drive and use it for whatever you want. I tried that once, but the company found out due to a stupid tracking trojan (which is illegal in the first place) and they suspended my account on the website. Stupid idiots. So yeah, I think it is a fantastic idea, even thoug some are illegal - I reported them under Section 45 of the Home/Office act (UK.) :)

I'm pretty convinced that everything will be either streamed or downloaded. Streamed is where we're heading at the moment. With faster Internet connections, and business innovations, streamed content has more than proven itself successful. In years to come, physical store locations might not exist, everything is being replaced with red boxes. Everything will be done in the home with credit cards if you ask me.
