When your battery is on low power, what percentage of power have you set your battery to have before it alerts you that the battery is low?! And do you think mine is set correctly? Someone has been messing with my settings and I dont need my laptop to alert me that my battery is low when it is at 10%.

to do this in windows 7 you click on the battery icon at the bottom of the screen. click on more power options. go to change plan settings under the plan that you are currently on. go to change advanced power settings. then scroll down to battery. while in this window you can also chose other plans. I hope this helps.

Mine is set to 5%, enough time for me to quickly finish what I'm doing and shut down. You just want it to warn you quick enough so you don't lose your work and have it shutdown dangerously.

Well, if you have small battery life then maybe you should go 10%. You know your devices better than anyone.

well it's a 6 cell battery but the laptop has been w/ me for 2 years so the battery doesn' t last long, so I have it for 20 % :)
