Hey guys, i want to get 6GB of DDR3 RAM and put it in a mobo with 4 slots. Im sure this wont work in Dual-Channel, but im jw if windows 7 64-bit will recognize all 6GB of RAM. Thanks for all your help!!!!!! |

If your motherboard suports that much RAM then you should be just fine |

Dual channel can work with that sort of configuration. You just have to keep both banks of RAM equal. Bank one needs to have a 1GB stick and a 2GB stick in it, and bank two needs to have a 1GB stick and a 2GB stick in it. Both banks have 3GB, so dual channel works. Check your motherboard's manual to determine which slot each stick needs to be installed in for dual channel operation. |

Windows 7 64-bit supports up to 128 GB of RAM. The only worry would be your mobo supporting that much RAM, which it probably does. My mobo is cheap-ass and it supportrs 16GB DDR2. I don't think you'll have a problem. |

I don't know much about building computers but if you are using a 64 bit OS all RAM should be found. |

check on the RAMs manufacturer site for the configurations that the particular chips can support. also it's a good idea to check the same thing on the motherboards manufacturer site, sometimes some chips just is not compatible in some ways of gonfig. |

It worked anyways guys! Thanks for all your suggestions anyways! I appreciate all of you, and this whole community! |

It won't work in full triple channel but I don't know if the sticks will require to be run in trpile channel configuration. I would recommending speending that little bit extra and getting 4 x 2gb sticks, or a dual channel 4gb par and a single 2gig sitck |
