If you had a wired mouse I would say to use a kvm switch to switch between the two computers, but they generally only use 1 screen.

I'd go for the KVM switch because it doesn't even need a LAN connection (or a special program running on both). Depends on the specific need.

Use Synergy+ http://synergy-foss.org/ or you can remote desktop into the other computer

Input Director is superior to Synergy, is newer and still maintained, and is designed to work well with multiple monitor computers.

As said before, Synergy is the easiest way to do this, but both the computers have to be on the same network.
