What is this on the white iPhone 4? I have noticed on many pictures that the white iPhone 4 has a grill looking area on top of its camera that the black iPhone does not have. Do you know what it is for?

It's a proximity sensor. It's used for turning off the screen when you are talking on the phone, so you don't hit something with your cheek, for example. The black one has it too, but it just "blends in." |
