what are you looing forward to coming to the mac app store? do you want the casual games from the ios, do you want mini photo manipulation programs? how bout some more honed facebook/twitter/other social networking apps? just watching the keynote again, there is defiantly similar categories as the ios app stores. what are you guys all looking for? what do YOU PERSONALLY WANT? |

I doubt it will be apps, but programs already designed for the mac that will just port to the Mac App Store. I believe there will be productivity and creativity programs in the store.. Apple wants this way so there is a one stop shop for all the programs out there. Now there will be some programs that will not be there.... They will be apps, that is why its called the app store, i assume you are talking IOS apps, wont be in there, i disagree, most games that can be easily ported will be ported and top sellers will want to capitalise on the new market. for example : http://www.macrumors.com/2010/10/20/and-so-it-begins-flight-control-hd-coming-to-mac-app-store/ also the mac store opens up the opportunity for the developers of apps to bring small image editing programs like camera bag or other simple filter effects to potentially release more intricate versions. apps like colour splash will be apps you can count on crossing over. existing developers of high name programs will place apps in the app store only if it suits them, there will be harsh restrictions on what is accepted (as with the ios apps) and what api's or controle of the mac the apps have, so you are half right in your statement, but you dont really answer my question at all, you just made a slightly relevant statement. I think this question should be re-opened as it asks what you personally want. "They announced there will be" has nothing to do with this.
