Obligatory objection to four questions in one, all of which are easily identified as dupes. But whatever, people seem to have stopped caring.

What OS do you use? What is your computer and it's specs? What is your primary (or other) browsers? What are your favourite pieces of software?

Main system (Would you like to know More?):

  • Win7 Ultimate x64
  • Intel Core 2 Quad (Q6600/Kentsfield)
  • EVGA 680i mobo
  • 1kW PSU
  • 8GB Patriot DDR2
  • (3x) ATI Radeon HD 4760
  • (6x) Asus VE245TL-P monitorsb (24", widescreen, 1080p. Each.)
  • (3x) Monoprice dual-monitor vertical stands
  • External Memorex DVD drive
  • Altec Lansing 251 speaker system
  • Das Keyboard Ultimate (USB)
  • Logitech G5 laser mouse
  • Generic Dell PS/2 keyboard (for disk check aborts, BIOS access, etc)
  • Generic Logitech webcam
  • Microsoft LifeCam webcam
  • Logitech desk microphone
  • (2x) Belkin 7-port USB 2.0 hubs
  • 150GB C: (Raptor (Windows))
  • 1TB B: (DeskStar (program files))

Server:

  • Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Edition
  • Intel Core 2 Quad (Q6600/Kentsfield)
  • BFG 680i mobo
  • (2x) PCI-e SATA controller cards
  • 650W PSU
  • 8GB Patriot DDR2
  • ATI Radeon X1650 Pro (Headless except when problematic)
  • 150GB Velociraptor C:
  • 1TB Deskstar D:
  • 1TB Deskstar E:
  • 1TB Deskstar F: (broken)
  • 1TB Deskstar G:
  • 1TB Deskstar I:
  • 500GB WD J:
  • 500GB WD K:
  • 1TB Deskstar L:
  • 1TB Deskstar M:
  • 1TB Deskstar N:
  • 1TB Deskstar O:
  • No optical drives, except when reinstalling Windows

Laptop:

  • Win7 Ultimate x64
  • Intel Core 2 Duo
  • 3.5GB Generic DDR2
  • Das Keyboard Ultimate (USB)
  • 300GB C:
  • nVidia GeForce Mobility 8800
  • Vizio 26" HDTV (1080p secondary display)
  • Lasts 1-2 hours on a charge, but I rarely go mobile

Tablet:

  • Win7 Home Premium x86
  • Intel Atom 32-bit POS
  • 2GB Kingston DDR3
  • 30GB SSD C: (Which writes slower than my frackin' cable downloads)
  • 32GB Flash D:
  • Lasts 5-6 hours on a charge

Browser: IE9 Beta, but I also pop into Chrome and FF3 for testing purposes. Occasionally, if I'm in a nostalgic mood, I'll open an XP VM and play with IE6 as well. I miss the IE6 UI. The laptop also has Safari installed, for Apple's weekly "OMG new stuff" keynotes. This is the only place where I allow QuickTime in my home.

Seriously, if you bring a computer over and it has QuickTime installed, I'll have you leave.

Software: Visual Studio 2010, OneNote, and of course games. Pretty much whatever suits what I'm doing at the time.
