how to form a country?

currently living in Ireland and would like to form my own country(micronation).I have done everything short of telling the government and other groups.would like to know how to go about this.copy of the irish constitution if it helps <url>http://met.al/ch6<url/>

I'd love to make a micronation... It would be so awesome - I'd call it Novis (surprisingly enough)..

you will have to have lost of money to pull this off, buy a lot of land or just wait until a volcano on the sea creates new land then claim it as urs.

You can make an Independant State, but to be considered a country you need at least a thousand populating your land. lol It does sound silly.

@Ross Walker no. whatever channel it was on I probably did not see it as I could only watch three TV channels then(RTE1,RTE2 and TG4)

You can make an Independant State, but to be considered a country you need at least a thousand populating your land. You also have to get your land measured and mapped. Even before doing all of this you have to own a sizeable amount of land. It's a big hassle.

Umm..Can I ask you why you would want to do this?

Do you really think it would be simple running a county? You would have to set up currency, find a way to keep a population, have some kind of resource to trade with surrounding countries, laws, roads, hospitals, religious buildings, an SO much more.

I really hope this isn't a serious question...
