Do you like the way they did the close, minimize, and maximize buttons for iTunes 10? Do you think Apple may start converting all of their software to feature these buttons in a vertical way, rather than horizontal?

They're not going to change it on all of their software (at least in the operating systems that we're familiar with right now), because if you have a normal application that has the bar at the top with only about 25 pixels, you aren't able to fit all of them vertically. Applications like Final Cut, Paintbrush, Terminal, and a whole lot of other applications that don't have the extra real estate on the window border.
This is something that iTunes is going to have, and that OS X will not incorporate. There might be a chance for OS 11 to have it, but for OS X, it's not going to have it.
