I know you've all heard the story about the chicken and the egg so I won't go into that subject. However, I am going to ask the community, "Which came first? The geek or the nerd

Well according to the Oxford Dictionaries website Geek came first.

Geek:

Origin: late 19th century: from the related English dialect word geck 'fool', of Germanic origin; related to Dutch gek 'mad, silly'

Nerd:

Origin: 1950s (originally US): of unknown origin
