Was there? Windows Phone 7 has nothing on iPhone, Android or even Blackberry. It will never "kill" the iPhone or any others. Seems like they wasted a lot of money. Whats your opinion?

No. In fact, Windows Phone should NOT be compared to iPhone. They are completely different devices and they're aimed at different types of people. Windows Phone 7 is designed to be "the phone that keeps you off your phone" or however Microsoft described it in that commercial.

Bottom line is that Windows Phone is not for geeks or tech enthusiasts. It's for someone who wants to do a few quick things on the phone, then put it down and get back to "real life". I feel like the iPhone to some extent is for anyone, but considering its hundreds of thousands of apps, it's certainly not for someone who wants to avoid using their mobile phone.

So it's a phone thats purpose is to let you avoid the use of your phone? Interesting concept...

Would we be talking about Microsoft's phone if it weren't for the iPhone funeral publicity stunt they played? "Was there any point in Microsofts iPhone funeral?"

I think it's just embarrassing, quite sad really that Microsoft feel so insecure about their product they have to belittle someone elses..... In the playground that's called bullying.

Get a life Microsoft.

There probably wasn't any point really. Then again no such thing as bad PR they say. Its a bit like your parents trying to act cool by doing things they aren't comfortable doing to try and impress someone. You just wish they would stop and stick to what they are good at, whatever that may be.

iphone Funeral - Yahoo! Search Results: http://bit.ly/bPzSvx Microsoft held a faux iPhone Funeral. I've played with the dead Microsoft KIN 1 & KIN2. I don't know what Microsoft thinks will change the fate of Windows 7 Phone Series. They didn't do a complete redesign, so I predict those phones will suck. From what I've seen, THEY WILL BE MORE SMARTPHONES FOR DUMMIES, and die like the rest.

A sort of "ritual" to get rid of the iPhone forever? Not that its ever going to happen anytime soon.

Just as there were many cellular phones at the same time, many computers and so forth companies can really stop naming everything as an killer of another product, so far it never has played out that way, just sell your device and let it stand on its own.

I don't like getting involved in Apple or Microsoft bashing... but this is just totally embarrassing. If i was a shareholder I would be pretty disappointed.
